Sleep and Insomnia
Some people find it hard to sleep or maintain sleep during the night. For some getting to sleep is the problem. For others, it’s that they wake up too early and can’t go back to sleep. Despite feeling tired a person may not feel sleepy. There is indeed a difference between sleepiness and fatigue. Losing sleep certainly leads to fatigue, but it may not help an individual get a full night of restorative sleep.
Deep restful and restorative sleep depends on several factors. Various parts of the nervous system work together to make sleep happen. Neurotransmitters and hormones need to rise and fall throughout the day and night in cycles for good sleep to happen. I help people with sleep issues restore this balance and get the sleep they need to recover and feel well.

Ciaran Ryan is a qualified Nutritional Therapist who helps people with constant fatigue, chronic pain, digestive issues, and autoimmune conditions.
Having struggled with chronic fatigue, IBS and unexplained physical pain for several years, Ciaran found relief through nutritional and lifestyle changes.
He has a strong desire to help others using nutrition and lifestyle medicine, which he believes is a critical part of recovery.
He has trained in Nutritional Therapy at the Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health and regularly continues his training by attending conferences held by world renown experts in functional medicine.
He has trained with the likes of Dr. Sarah Myhill and Dr. Robert Brady, who are renowned experts in fatigue and conditions such as M.E and fibromyalgia.
